Halloween Museum of Salem

131 Essex St, Salem, MA 01970, USA

A small glow-in-the-dark walk-through on the Essex Street pedestrian mall, all about the holiday Salem is famous for. You explore it in 3D glasses under blacklight: neon-painted hallways, a fortune teller in her booth, a case of vintage Halloween Barbies and collectibles, old masks and decorations, a hand-made miniature of the Michael Myers house from the 1978 film Halloween, and displays for Salem street favorites Borah the Witch and Brandon the Shapeshifter. It's family-friendly and quick, about 15 minutes, so it's an easy stop between shops rather than a half-day outing; tickets are sold at the door. Bewitched Historical Tours depart from the same address.
