Lines wrapped around the Haunted Warren Museum and out the door at Blackcraft Coffee, the Salem Witch Museum sold out for the day, Halloween Marketplace tents across Salem Common, Mercy Tavern and the House of the Seven Gables, a long line at Longboards on Pickering Wharf, the Haunted Witch Village, Front Street, and the Halloween carnival Dunkin' on Washington Street.

The line wrapped around the Witch House, a bucket drummer on Church Street, the Haunted Happenings vendor rows around Old Town Hall, the Essex Street mall shoulder to shoulder, Pickering Wharf at golden hour, Derby Street, and Salem Common lit up after dark — ending in the line outside Goodnight Fatty.

Salem Before the Crowds — A Quiet October Morning Walk

The first Saturday of October, a little after 8:30 in the morning, before the big weekend crowds arrive. Vendors putting up tents on Essex Street, the shops on Pickering Wharf still shut, the Friendship of Salem at Derby Wharf, the House of the Seven Gables, open water at Collins Cove, and the Haunted Happenings Marketplace going up on Salem Common — then back past the Witch Museum to Essex Street as the town starts to fill.
